Hello, I’m Ben, a 30-something living in Skipton, North Yorkshire, with my whippet Walter (just missing a flat cap to complete the look!). Originally from Leeds, I settled here about five years ago, via Harrogate. I love to travel and have a passion for fitness, whether at the gym or out for a run.
I have been in the insurance industry since I left University, working in Private Clients for over 10 years now.
Greatest work achievement:
Generally working to get the absolute best outcomes for our clients. Insurance is often something people don’t like to deal with. But if the worst should happen, I always get a huge buzz helping someone back to normality, swiftly – even just lending an ear when needed can make all the difference in the worst circumstances.
Tell us something people may not know about you:
I was an extra and had a line in a film when I was in high school, which was shown at film festivals in America and Monaco. It wasn’t the best film I’ve ever seen, but I did get to see it in the cinema during its limited release.

All of my bucket list items are places I’d like to visit:
I went to Australia last year to visit family I haven’t seen for years – I would love to go back and explore a bit more of the country.
I went travelling around Mexico, Cuba and the USA when I left University – I would love to head back that way and visit Canada this time
Japan is another place I would love to tick off my bucket list, and it is somewhere we have discussed going in the next couple of years
I think, ideally, I need to apply to take part in Race Across the World!
