Hi – I’m Emma! I started in insurance at 19 years old and have been the Director of C&C Private Clients for the last 4 years.
I live in Leeds with my husband and gorgeous Bernedoodle, Ruby. (See photo so you don’t have to Google!) I love to see the world and visit new places, as well as walking in familiar ones, such as the Yorkshire Dales. I have a passion for fitness and am an early riser having a Peloton session in the morning along with a nice dog walk. It’s a shame my vice is chocolate!
If I’m being honest, insurance was supposed to be a gap year before heading to University to study forensic psychology. But clearly, I love what I do as this is turning out to be a very long gap year!!
Greatest work achievement
I’ve enjoyed my career journey and working at C&C gave me scope to achieve my next big goal and grow an already strong private client offering. I’ve always had a passion for problem-solving and ensuring clients have a solution for their insurance challenges. Hence why I created our C&C Concierge service – our little blackbook of key contacts who can help with insurance requirements and lifestyle needs. It’s a priority for me to ensure that we look after our clients and help wherever we can, especially at the time of a claim, which can be distressing. I also pride myself on getting to know our clients and ensuring their insurance needs are met as easily and straightforwardly as possible.
Top 3 bucket list
Obtain a psychology degree. I’m always looking into this but I am not sure how I’ll factor in the time, but I’m determined to achieve it even if it’s after I’ve retired. It’s such a passion of mine.
I would love to travel around California, visit Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, San Francisco, Malibu and then head back to LA and see a little more. (I couldn’t do more than 2 weeks though. I’d miss Ruby too much!)
Go on an African Safari- which is already in the planning!
My Guilty pleasure
Psychological thrillers- the human mind fascinates me. I love crime dramas and the study of what makes people tick!
